Summertime Sports to Tackle With Friends & Family

Hospital cover
Now that the cold winter inertia has receded from our family lives, it’s time to become active again. Finally, we have the opportunity to mess around outside and have some fun in the sun – who you do this with, is up to you. Just make sure you don’t miss a beat and are spending your time with the right people this summer.

While hanging out with your squad in summer needs no guide, here are a few activities relatively safe activities that might be fun to try out. Just remember that it’s essential that sure you, your family or friends have hospital cover because accidents do happen. Here we go:

Golf

Whether you’re playing Wii golf, or actual 9 holes, heading out to the course for some whacking is a therapeutic activity for even the most composed person. Grab some snacks, pack a basket (wine optional), gather your pals and get active.

Obstacle courses:

While this definitely doesn’t sound like a fun friends or family activity, making it through one of these can be pretty rewarding. If you’re one for hunkering down in the mud with your besties, book a time and go face the elements together. It’s all about teamwork, not competition!

Outdoor alternatives:

We’re bound to be confined to the comfort of our homes for a sizable portion of the season, which is why we’ll need some indoor summer activity alternatives. Trying Wii games is usually a great way to stay active when it’s coming down outside, but not the ONLY way. Guitar hero (played correctly) is also an immense physical work out, while SingStar is more of an emotional one. If you want to take it a little slower, gather your people up and break out the board games. If it gets boring, you can always mix it up by upping the stakes! Loser gets to pay for the pizza delivery- sound fair?

Don’t let this year’s summer fun pass you by! Get active and enjoy the richness of experience to be had this season.
